Ur advice has been VERY useful

But now im worried that i could JUST be a 2 week slave lol. I want to work in an office and aint had any work exp in an office at all and this work experince is off the back of Jobseekers (work programme). I ain't had any experince since last year.
I was told BY work programme that i could get the job there if i do well but the lady who i spoke to last wed said to me that there where NO jobs there so im totally lost and don't know WHO to trust
x
I think this is a brilliant opportunity! They're willing to give you the chance to prove yourself in an area where you have no experience. Even if no job is offered at least you have 2 weeks office experience which can be included in your CV. You have nothing to lose but a lot to gain.
I have just started to look for work after a 10yr gap and I was prepared to prove I'm capable of doing the job by offering to work on a voluntary basis. However, it didn't have to come to that as I've been offered a job!
As other people have pointed out, text speak should be left as text speak. In an office environment, only proper spelling and grammar is acceptable.
Good luck with your job search!0 -
Work experience can be good, my other half for example left his previous job to go back to college and retrain. After finishing his course he took work experience of 2 days a week for about 2 months doing work related to his course, and they ended up creating a new position for him so they could keep him on. There is always going to be a chance they can't or won't keep you on but you never know, it is a chance worth risking and the worst that can happen is they say no, but at least you have 2 weeks experience that you didn't have before.0

Lol is textspeak (and this particular phrase my personal pet hate!) for those of us old enough to remember the days pre mobile phones I don't believe it was ever in common usage before.0 -

No, I don't believe it was either. But do you remember the mobile bricks?! The damned thing wouldn't fit in any bag I possessed, and was worth jack !!!! because 70% of the time I couldn't get a signal! No voicemail so you didn't know anyone had rung anyway. No text, no MP3 player, no camera, no games to while away the hours, no internet...
Ah. Bliss

Too young for a mobile brick! I came of age just as the phones got a bit smaller and more user friendly - but before the widespread use of LOL.0

'lol' comes from email and pre-internet bulletin boards which predate texting.Lol is textspeak (and this particular phrase my personal pet hate!) for those of us old enough to remember the days pre mobile phones I don't believe it was ever in common usage before.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
