MUPPETE - that's exactly what my kids school does. All the wrappers/crusts/empty yougurt tubes are back in the box. Hence why I use the plastic boxes now so they don't leak over the rucksack x
  • I work as a school dinnerlady in a primary school and you have hit the nail on the head! We will bin yoghurt pots and lids and juice cartons but the kids take the rest home so parents can see how much they have eaten!

No, it all comes home, yoghurt pots n' all.

say... watching what your 4 year old is and isnt eating is more priority over the 8 year old who has had 4 years experience of packed lunch? if that makes sense

    I don't understand?

It means an 8 year old has more responsibility IYSWIM, they're old enough to deal with getting hungry if they leave their lunch, understand why they're hungry and they shouldn't need their food intake monitoring too much :)
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
  • Oh I see, thanks.

TBH my 4 year old will eat what she needs and leave what she doesn't (wish I could learn that!) so not worried about her eating, can see some parents might be, though.
