Easyjet refund advice - 40 weeks pregnant

I totally agree with this.
7 months is ample time to issue a refund if the ticket is a refundable one.

I have recently booked a return ticket on Virgin Atlantic going to Florida. This is a non refundable, non changeable ticket and the total price was £379.
I could have bought a flexible ticket that would entitle me to change or cancel the booking but this would have cost £1512, so what right should I have to pick the cheapie option but expect the service that comes with the more expensive one?

Actually as the OP is 2 months pregnant and booked recently, they were probably pregnant but not aware of it when they booked the ticket.

It's not theft. The OP paid willingly and in doing so signed up to the no refund conditions. I agree it's not her fault for getting pregnant but it's not the airline's either, it's unfortunate, not theft.

Unfortunately you are not owed a refund if it's a non-refundable ticket. Maybe you could give the ticket to someone else going to the hen party? Some money back is better than none.

Thanks for your replies Sarah, yes unfortunately my friend did book my ticket before I knew I was pregnant. To be honest I don't think anybody here has the specific legal information I am looking for so will be looking somewhere else from now on. Therefore please do not be offended if I do not reply.
And no photome, pregnancy can last 40 weeks plus depending on which 'events' you count from but to be honest this is not something I wish to discuss with you on a money saving forum.

we were due to fly easyjet on Fri but partner was taken into hosp on Thurs pm - even though i spoke to Easyjet to change/cancel the flight they will only cancel and i have to claim through insurance

The airlines may have some discretion when they are not allowing you to fly rather than you choosing not to fly. The example I can think of is someone turning up at the airport with infectious chicken pox would not be allowed on the plane but they may allow them the change the dates to when they are fit to fly. You said in the OP that Easyjet have allowed you to change the date to when you would be able to fly and whilst that is not suitable to you (as it is not when the rest of the party are going) but it may well be their get out of jail free card with any discrimination case you are trying to claim

Why wont you say what type of of ticket and at what price(compared to easy jet) your airline sells.

I wasnt after a discussion about your "events" I just assumed that most pregnancys had gone full term by 40 weeks
