    I'm also thinking of selling my old lap top on eBay. Sorry if this is a really stupid question... But what information is anyone really going to use from it for me to need to wipe it so diligently? I have no passwords saved, no particularly sensitive documents or anything and have removed all documents. Please could someone explain if I'm missing the point entirely :o Thanks :D

    Your browsing history, removing personal data documents/pics etc, can easily be undone, they don't actually get deleted.
