I'm also thinking of selling my old lap top on eBay. Sorry if this is a really stupid question... But what information is anyone really going to use from it for me to need to wipe it so diligently? I have no passwords saved, no particularly sensitive documents or anything and have removed all documents. Please could someone explain if I'm missing the point entirely

Your browsing history, removing personal data documents/pics etc, can easily be undone, they don't actually get deleted.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
