Cracked NEFF hob, can it be repaired?

We have a NEFF Induction hob, couple of years old.
A while ago it got chipped (no idea how) which took a fingernail sized chunk of glass out on one side. It's now cracked across the width from that point.
The question now is is there any prospect of a repair changing just the glass, or does the whole hob need to be replaced? Any expert opinions would be appreciated, as there's a call out fee for engineers.

I think it might just need the glass as Neff were offering me an insurance policy in case I break mine (I didn't take it). Might be worth checking at uk white goods forum, lots of people would know there for sure.0
