Help please British gas have messed up

I have just bought a repossesion property and as there were key and card meters I registered with them to be sent to my home address. The electric key came and it had the woman whose house was repossesed name on it along with mine.

I have now been connected with this woman by British gas through their mistake.

Yesterday I received at my home address a debt collection letter for this woman. It is only 5 days since I registered with British gas so I am shocked that this has happened so soon.

I can see this getting very messy since British gas have now connected me to a woman with debts.

What can I do to stop this, I don't want to be connected to this woman and am furious that British gas have done this to me.

Thanks in advance for any advice

    they wont of connected you, all they will of done is issued the key under the wrong name.
    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    They have connected me, my name and the other womans name is on the account. I have also had one of her debters send a letter to my address which is completely differant to the address of the house I bought where the key meters are.
