Red Hot Roosters.
3 piece guitar rock and roll band. Complete with leather trousers and shades.
They played at my wedding and had everyone on the floor, from 5yr olds
to 70 yr olds, and eveyone told me afterwards the band were great.
They play 50s-60s classics - Chuck Berry, Elvis, Eddie Cochrane etc.
I also got inflatable guitars for the kids, and they were up on stage with
the band giving it loads - couldn't get them off the stage.

Have loads of recommendations myself but to be honest if theres a particular band your interested in, or genre of music, see when they're playing next and go watch them. I did this with my brother when he was looking a band for his wedding, big 9 piece, made all the difference actually hearing them and getting to speak to them face to face
Hope you get sorted

PP and the Floor Shakers are very good, an old work friend of mine quit his job to go and play full time with them. Been to several of there shows and they always go down well.

Hi Squidzin, Go and see a couple of bands live and then hire them yourself directly. instead of booking them through an entertainment agency. This can save you quite a lot of money on commisions. I hope this helps.

Hope he's good, we've him booked for our reception in april

A little update, Paul did our wedding reception and did a great job :T :T Considering it was a small party and even smaller by the time the old fogies went home I think he managed to keep the rest of us up dancing just about all night. I'd recommend his pub quiz as a great ice breaker at the start of the night. It got everyone talking (cheating and swapping answers) and made it more of a party than a formal do. His sound system is amazing and it makes a real difference being able to hear the music and what he's saying.
Cheers Paul :beer:0 -
Thanks Alistair, great to read you enjoyed the evening - you're right cheating is encouraged, but still someone thought I was Garth Brooks during the pub quiz picture round :rotfl:It got everyone talking (cheating and swapping answers) and made it more of a party than a formal do. I can recommend a great soul/blues/rock covers band. Check out ReverendT.com (includes demo clip). Just a little bit different than your average wedding band and guaranteed to have everyone dancing all night.0
