IGO4 CAR INSURANCE.... Warning and avoid BIG TIME

I've been dealing with many insurance companies in my life some so called bad and some so called good by alot of other ppl, which I never personally had any problem with any from my 15 years of dealing with so many different car insurance. UNTIL...

OH MY GOD this IGO4 "thing" really acutally made me to come on this website to post my very 1st post about them in fact it is my first post about anything.

I would like to share my experience with them very simple. My nightmare beings with them by, bought the my insurance with them throught "Confused.com" due to its attrative price. after reading its rather silly "sending in my driving license" rule, I cancelled it straight away on the very same day, and had my payment return after few weeks without much of a problem, even it took longer acutally alot longer than I expected, but didnt bother me too much. then........

Ever since after I have my policy cancelled. I have been receiving letters asking for my proof of no claim bonus and driving license. after countless phone calls and emails(which with most of them ignored) I have been told on the phone this will stop and it happened becaused of their automated system..brabrabrbaaaaa.....then today I received another letter ASKING FOR THE SAME THING and it my policy will be cancelled on this this date...with 20 pounds of admin charge...!!!which already took out of my debit card without my auth???!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

my problem with them is doesnt matter how many time you tried to speak to them(if you can get throught), your problem can never be resolved.. the outcome can never be change.. Please everyone if you can.. Run when you hear the name IGO4...:T:T

Please explain why you thing it's a silly rule to have to provide a copy of your driving licence? Many insurers ask for this.

Did you put down inaccurate information on your proposal form which would come to light from sending your licence to them?
  • No, I have never came across with one that ask for it, this is the very first. I have nothing to hide, but I have my doubt of sharing this info with somebody I not even heard before especially somebody with such reputation over the net.

But my problem wasn't about my driving license. It was about the trouble they caused with such a easy request....

Maybe you confused them as much as you've confused me...

So is your policy cancelled or not?

You say you cancelled and got a refund but then you say that they are threatening to cancel?

It is certainly not unreasonable to request a copy of your licence - I don't know, something is fishy here - you say you didn't want to share the information on your licence because you've never heard of them and yet you were happy to give them your debit card details?? Are you sure that you have nothing to hide on your licence?:whistle:

Been a long time since an insurance company asked for a copy but they have.

My old firm used to ask for it every 3 months. Took a photocopy for their insurance purposes.
