Let us assume I am a bit slow or very slow, hows about you posting the answer?
It would re-inforce how thick I am surely? And make you look good amongst you peers
Let us not forget how you started the thread you reffered to" What phone to go for iPhone 4s or android Thinking of changing the phone.
Which one is better the new iPhone or android such as htc or samsung.
Which one would you get?"
But whoa betide anybody that is not euphoric about the same thoughts you have. Do us a favour and give the answer if there is one :T
What are you going on about?
what question do you want me to answer?
If is about op, than all ready answered, you need to read it a few times to understand it.
Why are you mixing two post together?
The other post is about trying to understand which os is better for normal use. I am sure others would have also found it useful as well as I.
Do you not want the answer?
If it make you happy android phones are the best, iPhone is crap.0 -

What am I going on about? let me repeat post #7 for you
As mentioned above, this is not an I hate Apple thread.
This is one way I use the address book on the palm.... at work we use lots of sytems with various passwords and usernames, so with the palm you can create custom fields
eg
application
username
password
the whole file can be seprate from the remainder of the address book, I'm asking can this be done on the ipod touch? the extra fields I found were still pre-named with no obvious way to change the field names. I'm asking so that I can get more use out of the device and this is where I'm hoping those well versed with the devices can assist
or if somebody can point me to a users forum where I can pose the question.
as mentioned if the answer is there and I cannot see it, then YOU point out the answer for me eh? Otherwise it confirms the answer or resolve I am seeking does not exist within this thread, it has nothing to do with one operating system being better than another0 -
I think the main issue is with your thread title which is unnecessarilly provocative. You could just as easily have written 'Help with iPod Touch contacts' and achieved the same result without insinuating that anyone who knows the answer is an 'Apple fanbouy'.
To my knowledge there is no way to create custom contact fields. You could put the details you require in the 'notes' section. You can sync with Windows Contacts.0 -

Thanks for clariyfying that for me, I was not aware that the fanbouy term was derogotary,(I will change the title) that said I have posted stuff in the past with equal loads of views but no response .0 -

I'd consider the term fairly derogatory as it tends to be used by people to dismiss or belittle the opinions of others, or discredit them in some way. Its most definitely not a polite way to address anyone, especially not when you're seeking help.0 -

As mentioned earlier, I did not consider the term derogotary (and still don't tbh) but I had changed the title immediately as I had typed earlier. A quick search suggests "fanboy is a person considered to belong to one or more fandoms to a point of obsession."
Which to me would not belittle or dismiss their opinion, but hold them in higher esteem within a field to the point of being an expert0 -

I'm sure you're not naive enough to really think that. Fanboy is typically used as a derogatory term to imply that someone is biased or lacks objectivity on a certain topic (which is unfortunately usually just a difference of opinion, but some people overstep the mark and try to 'shut down' a discussion by accusing participants of being fanboys).
Personally, I never use the term myself as I think it's rude and totally defeats the point of a discussion forum.0
