Tesco Insurance Woe !

Options
I cant believe it, I received a renewal on my house insurance from Tesco, and due to turmoil I failed to notice that the b******s have doubled my premium from £300 TO £600 !!:( for the next year.

They have already collected the money last month from my bank account as I took a direct debit out to start with.

Is there any way I can cancel and get part of the money back?

I know its my fault but this one slipped under the radar, any help MOST appreciated.

  • You can ask Tesco what the pro rata price is, aslong as you have not made a claim this year (new policy) then you can cancel and pay for the usage you had and the admin fee and have a refund.

If you are getting nowhere private message me so I can give you the relivant directions
  • Alistair,

Thanks for your advice, I have now contacted TESCO and have received a pro rata refund,

'They thought they won the battle but have since lost the war!'

Have since taken out a new policy with co-op at a much cheaper price.

Lesson learnt, it WON'T happen again!
