After seeing a Matsui 2GB MP3 player for sale in Currys at half price £24.99 I jumped at the chance to get a 2GB player for this price, after 4 atempts I could only get just over 1GB of MP3 songs on to it despite both my PC and the player it's self saying it had just under 1GB of storage left.
I have loaded the player as per the instructions, so I took it back and swapped it for another player of the smae type and yes just over 1GB of songs and it will not take any more.
I have emailed Currys and look forward to what they have to say.
Has any one other then me had the same problem with this cut price player ....?

flash drives don't have exactly the amount of storage specified (i.e. 2gb)
2gb would equate to 1,899mb, which is not exactly 2gb0 -
Thank you.
How ever that would still leve me about .8GB light0
