Asda christmas gift guide 2011

Page 160 shows a 61-key keyboard, it says it comes with AC adaptor [they're lying]. I bought one keyboard in Chatham Asda after picking up a gift guide, I unpacked the keyboard to test it and found it needed 6 batteries and had no AC adaptor with it.
I took it back to the 24 hour store at 11pm only to be told that the customer service only operated until 10pm (useful for a 24hr store - 15hr customer service).
After phoning them up the next day, I was told that it was only the ones purchased online that came with the AC adaptor, so I ordered one of those. When it turned up, there was no adaptor. Customer services then told me I could buy one for £8.50. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO WHEN IT SAYS THAT IT IS INCLUDED??????:( Will update this post when I've spoken to head office. If anyone has bought one of these and wrapped it without checking - BEWARE, unless you have a cupboard full of batteries, you will have a disappointed child on your hands on Xmas morning!!!

    Devils advocate here:

    1) Is it actually the same item they currently have on the shelf as is in the Christmas Gift Guide? Its possible its not.

    2) Does it say on the box that it includes the adaptor?

Thirdly a reminder : Most stores haven't started their "no questions extended return period yet". If people are buying presents for Christmas now they do need to check them to ensure they are ok as by the time they are given as gifts they will be outside of the return policy of the store. Whilst this doesn't apply to faulty stuff (usually) they could easily claim that the part that is missing must have been lost by you (and the same with damage). Its better to check it now than have to argue with Customer Services later!

It doesn't say its included on the box but it does say it in the item description in the gift guide.I have bought off the shelf and online and none had the adaptor included.
