Hi, thanks again for all the replies.
I promised to update on the outcome of this. It's now been 3 weeks and I've received nothing in the post. So I think I'm going to be ok.. I nearly wrote "think I got away with it" but since I wasn't actually on the crossing in the first place I think maybe the guy or his supervisor looked at the CCTV and realised there was no case. I assume 3 weeks and no correspondence means its likely to no longer be a problem. But who knows, I don't want to jinx it - maybe I'll get a 2 weeks artificially pre-dated letter from APCOA any day now!!0 -

Yep but that's not relevant to this thread as that's about REAL Council tickets.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Love to have seen the follow up on that. Council appealed and driver was ordered to pay back £20,000. Sorry, spent it. What happened next?????????????I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

But what a stupid situation...
Firstly, the bloke for ignoring a real council PPC, fair or not, but then the council for not bloody showing up at County Court to defend a claim... they deserve to lose £20,000.00 for being stupid.0
