Artisan Shares Help

I have Artisan shares and noticed today that they were no longer at 3p but 155p. It seems though that because I have less than 6000 holding they are worth zero. So I have lost the money I put in 6 years ago (£750).
The Company have decided to consolidate shares and if you hold less than 6000 these have gone.
Does anyone have any idea of what is going on, is there anything I should do and anything other comments.
I know that having shares is a risk but when they go up you don't expect your holding to dissappear.

The fractional shares, less than 6000 per holder will be sold and the proceeds distributed to fractional shareholders in proportion to the shares held. So you will get some money back unless your shares were worth £2 or less in which case you wont!"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Hi, Lilaclily,
It looks like pretty shabby behaviour on the part of the company, but you did have plenty of warning; the announcement of the share consolidation was made in early December, to be implemented in early January. You can read the RNS here - and more here. If you invest in tiny companies you have to keep a keen eye on what they're doing!
As Optimist says, you will at least get back the value of your shareholding.0 -
Oh well, thanks for that. I do wish that when information is sent through it is sent as easy reading, not this long drawn out paraphenalia that gets sent.
So we will just have to wait and see.
Many thanks for your help.0
