hiya,
The shower curtain rail is fixed to the wall via screws.1 of the sides has come loose (the other one seems solid). The screws had come loose in the loose sandstone.I have since filled it with polyfilla, and it looks good.I now need to re-attach this side of the rail to the polyfilla.
My question: Should I use screws, or "no more nails"?

I think screws are always better but if you can't manage 'no ore nails' is easier and quicker.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I doubt polyfilla will hold screws to be honest especially when you put the weight of the curtain on there too...so I'd use both but be prepared to redo it.. I always get one of those extending sprung shower curtain rails they don't need any fixings just stay up by extending the pole once its in situ then locking it.. mines never come down.. good luck#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

drill a bigger hole into the brickwork.
then use a rawlplug and screws.
pack the rawlplug with a few matchsticks if required.Get some gorm.0 -
