The portions are very small.
The meat is good, the value for money is low.0 -

You have to try abel and coles free range pork chops, they're delicious http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/pork-loin-chops-bone-in-400g-pack-of-2:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -

Really? are you confused by what size a 6oz or 8oz steak should look like? :rotfl:
All their pack sizes are clearly marked saying what you are buying.
If you buy a 8oz steak from a supermarket its not going to be any bigger
than the one from here, its still going to be an 8oz steak
Saying that they are stupidly overpriced even if the quality is up to what people
are saying, and that's coming form somebody who has worked in the catering industry
10 years.
Im more surprised that they don't state exactly where each of their product come from,
just a generic
"All Donald Russell meat is sourced, where possible, from local suppliers or
reputable farms across the U.K by our experienced team of buyers"
Notice the 'where possible' get out clause.
For that reason alone this is one to avoid, every carcass sold within the UK is traceable
back to source, to not pass this information on to your customers when you are charging
such a premium suggests they have something to hide.
This is why you should use a good local butcher, they will tell you exactly where your meat
has come from, where it was raised, slaughtered etc etc
even the wholesale butchers I have used tell you exactly which farms they use for their animals,
and I can guarantee they shift a lot more than this online outfit.0 -
