UK Savers saving money in US Account

Hi

I am off on my honeymoon at the end of August this year, but have already invested in £1100 of US dollars, as the rate is good at present. Just wondered if anyone knew if i could open an internet savings account to earn some interest on the money between now and then and then draw it out via a cash machine when i arrive there?

Thanks

Check your bank for an accounts available in US dollars, Many of them provide this service but some of them don't publicize it very well. Citibank and HBOS are two that I know provide USD accounts with information available on their websites, there are a few others too. Probably best to try your own bank first.
  • thanks, i'll try that
