NatWest Credit Card PPI refund

I've just had a letter from RBS regarding a PPI claim I put in for my NatWest credit card. They have made me a good offer but say that the monies will be credited to my credit card balance if the credit card is still active. Can they insist on doing this or can I request a cheque?

Well done on your success.:beer:
Going by other posts, if the account is still active it seems they have been doing this to help reduce the balance, but I assumed the interest should be paid directly to you.

You could give it a go and ask in writing if they will be willing to pay you directly by cheque as you believe it should have come back to you, as you already believe you've been deprived of your money once, but I am not sure if it will work or not, good luck.;)

Hi, what happened in the end? Did they pay you the money back into your bank account or back onto the card?

They have just offered me some money back but say they will put it on my credit card (which has a £0 balance..) Would prefer it to go straight into my bank account (also with Natwest).
