Payments on JSA

Sorry if this has been asked before. If you sign on at JSA on a wednesday, when would your payment go in to your bank ?

My niece has had to sign on for the first time and is very confused. She has had a couple of erratic payments and was told she would get a letter explaining when she would get paid etc but nothing has arrived.

She signs on every other wednesday

The payment should be in her bank by Tuesday (3 working days), its paid 2 weeks behind and to start with you might not get a payment for 2 weeks, then the first payment doesn't have a full 2 weeks worth as the first 3 days of a claim are disregarded.

Ty. Will she get paid weekly or as she signs on fortnightly get paid fortnightly ?

I sign on, on a Wednesday and I get my JSA on a Monday, presumably this would be the same for anyone signing on, on that day.

I sign on on a wed and the money officially hits my account on Monday, but with some bank accounts Mondays transactions (both credit and debits) show on Saturday. So I am able to access the money on Saturday.
