I had EON at the door trying to get me to switch supplier i asked the guy numerous times if there were any standing charges on my pre payment meters he assured me there was no charge on any meter so i signed up to them then i found out afterwards there was on the gas meter it just so happens my old supplier phoned me that day and asked why i was switching and i told them the main reason was EON had no standing charges on there meters guess what scottish power said if i come back to them there would be no charge on there meters because they belong to scottish power so i went back to them guess what i found out next yes you guessed it they have a standing charge on the gas needless to say i was mad then the other day i had an EON guy at the door i told him what had happened he he siad that guy does not work for them anymore in this area he also told me that there is a standing charge on my electric meter i said they told me there wasn't i let him at my meter and i could not believe it there it was a standing charge so i phoned scottish power and they told me they cant take that charge off i get it back in my power usage i personnely feel i have been and i am getting ripped off.

At present we are only able to offer a no standing charge to pre-payment customers in our own area.
