Learn to use the storage heaters. Set the input on max and the output on the lowest setting. They'll cost about £1 per night each to load up with heat and release it slowly over the day. If you bought an electric radiator or halogen heater it will cost you a lot more but they cost the same to run. The halogen will appear cheaper but it's always on and the convector heater will cycle on and off.:footie:

Do not want heat during day - as least not all the time, so would prefer to be able to switch on and off as required. This does not appear to be an option with storage heaters . Not really considering a convector more interested in a electric rad or the halogen onesI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

In my experience halogen heaters are only any good if you are sitting by them, I prefer oil filled they take a while to heat but they heat the air in the room like a central heating rad, not like the halogen only heats the object in front of it.0
