I've never bought from their website, normally you see medion computers at supermarkets and such, as for the quality of them, I have two Medion computers (an old desktop and a laptop) and they are perfectly sound computer, and work just like, well, a computer.
so yep they are a trustworthy company.

THey used to be a German company but I believe they were recently bought out by a Chinese company.

I've had a couple of Medion pc's, both purchased from Aldi, and they have been very reliable. I've also seen them for sale in Sainsburys earlier this year.

I wouldn't personally buy one as I'd build my own, but Medion has been a sponsor of the Force India F1 team since at least 2008. It's now owned by Lenovo, who bought IBM's PC business in about 2005.

I bought one ages from Lidl and it served me well. My only grumble and this was some time ago was their support when I had a problem. My machine was under warranty and the replacement part I needed had to come from Germany and they didnt have it. This went on for a long time and was pretty frustrating. They are decent machines but lately (a year or so ago) they havent been as great value as when I bought mine. There was an Aldi Medion forum and Im not sure if its still going but if it is, you might get more feedback from there.

It still exists but is virtually moribund, with almost no meaningful posts, since Aldi seems to have stopped selling Medion PCs and laptops (which only ever appeared as 'specials', every three months or so). Presumably this is to do with the purchase of Medion by Lenovo, as previous correspondents have said.
  • Thanks for all your replies:) i have decided after looking at a few should i say not great reviews that i will probably not go for a medion and look around elsewhere for something else. Didn't realise it would be such hard work to try and find a laptop!!

    Thanks again
