Anyone got/tried one of these?

About £12.99 in Tescos. Do they work?

My question is why do you need this pad?
What is your pc model and what are the problems that you decided to buy pad? Maybe its just full of dusts inside.

I haven't bought anything, was just wondering if they do anything or work at all. Pre-emptive.

If you like to use your laptop on a cushion or leave it lying on the bed/soft furnishings, these can be useful.

    The Poundland one will do.

Well they just make better airflow under laptop. There are lots of laptops which design is poor. They reach high temperatures and that impacts on performance and lifetime of parts. Check temperatures with SpeedFan from almico. If they are high then:
    a) Clean pc from dusts.
    b) Buy pad with cooler.
