I asked if they were still taking sainsbury conditonal spend and they said yes so went home to get a £2 off £20 spend. got 2 "hp black ink 301" 10.97 each (plus 500 extra points for 2) and a 10p strawberry whip and paid for most of it with a £19.95 tesco price check voucher.
then off to asda where I had to pay £11.98 cash on my £40.10 shop
also had a £16.74 and £5 bonus refused at the leamington store just before 4pm on sunday 30th and they are sending me a £22 gift card.
put in another complaint about £16.74 and £5 bonus refused at lilington express 20:45 sunday 30th as the guy I spoke to and sent me £22 for the leamington store said that express stores did not take other stores vouchers so will wait and see if i get the same responce from the next person i talk to.
I also got a £5 something gift card last month when the leamington store refused a asda voucher.
so all in all not done badly from refused asda vouchers0 -
Never saw this and my mums just come back with her Sainsburys vouchers refused at Tescos, so l came here to check if this was the case.
Oh well, Aldi and Lidls it is for me now. I've always shopped at Tescos far more than anywhere else (and l used to find it cheaper) but it's too expensive in there now despite what they claim.

So Tesco don't accept any manufacturer coupon printed at home???
And what with coupons send to us by post (from other companies)?0 -
That's a nightmare, thanks for letting us know.0

Yes they still accept any manufacturers coupon you've printed (and purchased) but not any competitors coupons like Sainsburys, Morrisons etc.
From Page 1:drunkenmonkey wrote: »This is the official policy communicated to staff:
From Monday, 31 October we will no longer accept coupons from other retailers. This includes all types of coupons issued by Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrisons, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Co-op , Aldi etc, including their spend and save, Brand Match and Price Guarantee vouchers.
We have made this change because:
- We are committed to helping our customers spend less and always having the best price on their favourite brands and on our own label ranges.
- We have already dropped the price on the nation’s shopping list with over 3000 ‘Price Drops’ which are simple and straightforward. Everyone saves, every basket gets cheaper and we want to continue investing in great prices for our customers rather than in refunding our competitors’ vouchers.
- We have seen a significant increase in the amount of coupons our competitors are issuing, not least as they are having to refund their customers when we are cheaper than them.
- We are the only retailer to accept competitor coupons
The new Tesco coupon policy is simple - we accept all Tesco and supplier /product coupons as long as the customer has purchased the product. We will continue to issue, and therefore accept, Tesco Price Check coupons to our customers in the rare occasion their shopping would have been cheaper in Asda and will continue to invest a huge amount in rewarding our customers with Tesco spend and save and Clubcard points coupons.

With all the price match vouchers from Asda being around I knew it was only a matter of time before they stopped this.
I have been shopping more at Sainsbury since they did this to use my spend and save vouchers and I quite like it there now. So less custom for Tesco now from me.0 -
I really dislike Tesco for so very many reasons, but the fact remains they are the only big supermarket within 10 miles from here, and if I go on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening for the 80-90% reductions, it will be the cheapest way I can shop. On a Saturday afternoon, before the whoopsies are worth looking at, it might be cheaper to drive 20 miles each way and visit Sainsburys, Morrisons, HB and Lidl, but the weekend is too precious to spend that much of it grocery shopping, I'd rather add an hour or so to a work day if I can finish before 7pm.
I had a Co-Op £2 off £20 refused last week, will use it at CO tomorrow on free range chickens, which I refuse to buy from Tesco regardless of price.0 -
didn't know about this so wasted an hour at tesco, just left the trolly with all groceries bagged up and walked off. back to lidl0
