Think that might be the case with a lot of people...

  • They would not take my £4 off a £20 spend from sainsbugs. Not happy, but I was buying lots of £1 clothing items and cheap pet items, every little helps!!!

They took my £4 off £20 Sainsburys coupon last week (it was on an £80 grocery shop), but I think I will be using Tesco less and less if they stop accepting other stores vouchers.
  • I used a £5 off £25 M & S voucher, a £5 off £30 Aldi & a £3 off £30 all on a £32 shop today at Tescos but they wouldn't accept a £2 something Sainsburys Brand Match voucher. Think some stores are already not accepting them & some are stopping tomorrow even though the start date is not supposed to until the 1st November.

I didn't even know they'd started doing it again until I saw it a week ago at customer service.

Double points all over at the big stores that closed at 4/5 Sundays, can only get them at the Express or ministores with petrol stations or online up to Midnight now.

After that, post back if you see tumbleweeds rolling through Tesco branches from tomorrow :)
  • Interesting.

I had a £8 off a £40 sainsburys coupon refused at Tescos in Skegness on Monday. I contacted Tesco Head Office by e-mail that night and on Tuesday afternoon received a phone call from them offering me a £10 gift card by way of an apology. The girl that called went on to tell me that not only do Tescos still accept these coupons, but they will also take these new ones that Sainsburys are printing out if their prices are more. The gift card was through my letterbox on Thursday. Since then I have used two Sainsburys vouchers (Fri & today) in Tescos at Peterborough and there was no problem at all.
  • I've just heard about this as well.

Well if they stop taking competitor coupons, surely we will just use them in the competitors shop? Guess they will lose out even more by doing this.
  • Just to add to this - tried to use a Sainsbury's coupon today at St0ckt0n Extra and was told by the manager that this is the last week that competitor coupons will be accepted :(
