Insurance Miss Selling

I think there needs to be a thread about what is and what is not miss sold insurance.
Everyone at the minute seems to think they claim any and every insurance back if they change their mind, decide they dont want it or forgot all about it!
It just typifies the whole compensation culture of this country.
If its miss sold fine, i would be more than happy to help and to stitch up the people who give the financial services indstry a bad name. However, in the majority of cases i have read on here people come up with all sorts of strange and wonderful reasons why it could have been miss sold.
Sorry, thats my little rant over with now.

The site certainly has seen an increase in comments from people who seem to think they can reclaim everything going.Sorry, thats my little rant over with now.
Cant blame you. It can be frustrating at times after reading multiple threads from people that are just trying it on or trying to shirk their own responsibilities. If its any consolation, at least these type of try-it-on merchants are still a minority.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

No, not at all. Im under a network who are pretty strict on compliance. So im confident that if i they have signed my cases off im pretty safe.
Its just seeing what i see on this site is quite worrying.
My mum bought a policy 50 years ago, i think she was miss sold it - is a cracking example.
There are a number of others that just really annoy me.
Im sure not everyone genuinely thinks they were miss sold these policies and there are a number of chancers out there!
So im just thinking to help reduce the number of rediculous posts and to give people some pointers there should maybe be a thread or a page ont he site with what classes as miss sold.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
