Washing machine not filling with water?

I have a problem with my washing machine. When in pre wash cycle, the washing machine is absorbing water and doing fine. However, when doing the wash cycles, water isn't being absorbed by the washing machine. It's very weird. Help please?

If there is an option to do a cold wash, does it run through the complete wash cycle then?

Does it run the rinse and spin cycles if set to do those?

I've heard of "Spong" kitchen equipment, but not "Sponge" washing machines :D:D

    Assuming "filling" for "absorbing"...

Most machines these days use double or triple valves that energise depending on the part of the program to feed the correct compartment in the detergent drawer.

Without any indication of make and model it's really hard to tell you anything more than that.

Yes, my cold wash is the pre wash I'm quite sure. The machine washine does fill with water. But when it comes to the wash option later on, the washing machine doesn't fill with water, it spins for a little while longer without water, but after something like 6 minutes the washing machine stops spinning and an error code: F01 appears indicating that the washing machine has no water. We followed the instructions in the troubleshooting guidebook, but no success.

Our landowner's all-around technicians replaced the pipes the washing machine runs through for free, but it still doesn't solve the problem. The technicians said that perhaps the timer in the washing machine is at fault in certain options, or the sensor that detects water levels is malfunctioning.

One more question, would it be the landowner's responsibility to repair the washing machine or our responsibility? We've only been living here for 1 year and 3 months. Considering that the washing machine costs about £400 we wouldn't really want to replace it.

The washing machine is a Caple WMi2001 Electronic washing machine. (Can't post the website, forum doesn't allow me to.)

    Here's the website: caple.co.uk/appliances.aspx?cat=9&pid=73

just add www. at the beginning.

The user instructions say F01 indicates no water coming in, and to remove the inlet hose to clean the filter, though this is unlikely to apply if it takes in water for the pre wash.

Does it run the rinse and spin only cycle?

    You could ask them here

Or ask if anyone else has had the error on their facebook page

This is another good place to post for advice
