We need a new TV for the bedroom and are thinking of http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/sharp-lc22le22e-22-full-hd-led-tv-black-08115756-pdt.html
However - I am unsure whether the aerial lead from the Sky box will plug straight in ...What is the connection called ?
Plus - an LED TV is better than an LCD one -- am I right ?

RF (aerial) will but Scart would be better.Plus - an LED TV is better than an LCD one -- am I right ?
Yes apparently if it a true LED set, but they cost around £1000+ for a small screen. This TV is not LED but LED backlit (as in the description), so LCD with LED's at the back.0 -
If you mean the lead coming from your Sky box to the TV, it could be any one of three connections: HDMI, SCART and coaxial.
HDMI cables are used for high definition. I believe the Sky+ boxes (the ones that record) come with HDMI, but not standard Sky boxes - but I'm probably wrong. The connector is about 0.5" wide
SCART is an older form of connection to your TV, gradually being phased out in favour of HDMI. It is about 1.5" wide.
The oldest connection I know to connect TVs, is coaxial. The plug is one you can find on the end of a TV aerial, round and about 0.3" wide.0 -
An LED (LED Backlit) LCD TV for £200 by Technika from Tesco is not better than a £400 LCD by Sony, no. Don't fall for the marketing garbage. And the £1000s tiny TVs are OLED (Organic) which don't have any backlight at all. Don't worry about those, they won't be in the shops at reasonable sizes for years.0

You are way behind on pricing, LED tv prices have dropped massively in the last 12 months, a 40" samsung LED from john lewis with 5 years warranty is less than £600...0 -
I have an LED backlit Panasonic and looked at quite a few TVs LED and normal LCD and to be honest the picture quality didn’t seem to depend on the type of backlight. I bought the LED for other features it had.0

I think you will find that is not a true LED TV.0
