Sweet jars....

If you use Doue Egberts coffee, it's in good storage jars. I use them for all sorts of things. Not too big, but you could make a mini sweet shop collection

I second this! I use them for presents for the kids' teachers. Last year i baked some chocolate orange shortbread, cut it into small squares & put into the jar, tied a ribbon around it & added a label. It looked lovely, really professional, even if i say so myself. If you use Doue Egberts coffee, it's in good storage jars. I use them for all sorts of things. I am making sweet jars this year with cleaned out yankee candle jars which I have finished throughout the year. I did the same last year and it was really nice giving people the sweets which I know they like.0

I did this last year and used kilner jars. They were on offer at Tesco for about £1.50 each for the large jars. Sainsburys for the sweets and managed to fit loads of types I knew my family would eat.0

I do this for my kids. I started it a few years back using large kilner jars from Ikea. I also poped a small sheet of stickers into the jar of whatever they are 'into' at the time. They then stick the stickers all over the jar. Once empty I save the jars for next christmas. Each year they add to the stickers and we are starting to build a little montage of all the things they have like through the years. My youngest started off with Pepa Pig stickers, has gone through Bob the builder, Ben 10, Power Rangers, Harry Potter, LFC and this year will see if I can find him some Twilight stickers or maybe some Lego universe. Nice to see a little collection build up. Also means that you know the sweets will get eaten as you can pic and choose what they like.Just little old me!0
