A popular misconception both on Amazon and ebay. They have 4 feedbacks, who's to say they weren't 'associates' posing as customers and buying some very low priced item in order to leave complimentary feedback?0 -
this was on the hotukdeals forum earlier today. Serious pricing errors with top of the range camcorders being listed for under £50 and consumables like tapes for over £1000. No chance of getting any of the good stuff at these silly prices so don't waste yr time.
ps. the seller definitely does not have access to your payment details. These are processed by Amazon payments and a dispatch notification gets sent to the seller.Moneysaving is costing me a fortune!0 -
can anyone get into his shop ... I am having difficulty.0

Are you defintitely covered my amazon?
Otherwise you must be covered my credit card company?
Also, I just checked a minute ago and there were 17 available from the seller, and now theres 70! why would they all of a sudden have more...0 -
Hunting about on Amazon for OH's birthday present, I saw the same seller flogging a Canon Powershot A430 digital camera for £3.80, with £7 P&P. Normally they're £70+, so I was a bit surprised. Bought one, and they had five left, but in the time it took for me to complete the checkout, the others were all gone. Seller comes up with the Amazon user name "purchasing260" on my order log, if anyone's interested. Assuming it's the same extremepcs company, they're also on Ebay, http://stores.ebay.co.uk/extremepcscouk with 100% positive feedback over all their 49 transactions.
Still, I agree that this seller does have totally ridiculous prices, and to be honest, I suspect there's about as much likelihood of this actually materialising as there is my winning the lottery. I've never bought a lottery ticket, btw
FYI, here's what my checkout screen looked like. If nothing else, MSE has taught me to screengrab everything!

Well, I have gone for it.
Nothing to lose.

Amazon's T&C
Please note that for items ordered from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon Jersey this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you. For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, zShops or Auctions, this e-mail confirms the completion of your contract to purchase those items.
I wonder if that will hold

Amazon clearly say that every buyer is protected when purchasing from the market place, especially if your product doesn't turn up after you've ordered. So worst case scenario is you'll get your money taken, and may have to wait a little while to get it back.
Some of the prices seem ridiculous, but some others (like the 68 pounds mp3 player reduced from 191) don't stand out so much.. so we'll see if any of these pay off..0 -
I've claimed under their Marketplace protection. I bought a DVD which never turned up. Amazon ask you to try and contact the seller yourself, which I did. Initially, the seller replied to me and said she'd sent it, and then stopped replying when I asked if she had proof. Their customer services were very good though - I got a full refund, very quickly.© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0

Only worth taking a chance if you don't mind the possibility of having your money tied up for weeks and the potential hassle of having to go through the Az process to get it back in the eventuality they don't supply.
It looks to me like they've misplaced the decimal point when they uploaded their database. I severely doubt they will actually be able to source it.
4 feedbacks is nothing for an Amazon marketplace seller, and new sellers of electronics on Amazon are notorious for crashing and burning when they can't sort out proper stock control.
I would only buy from a marketplace seller with at least 98% positive and 100+ feedbacks (even more for a high volume seller of electronics).
There are very few reliable electronics sellers on Amazon - the other sellers on that item (not including Amazon) have all got bad feedback,as it happens.0
