Administrative charge from car hiring company

Hi
I hired a car from Alamo (Europ car group ltd) back in September.
I had a speeding tkt.
The police after writing to Europcar (registered of the vehicle) it has obtained my details and sent the Notice of Intended Prosecution directly to me. That's fine I can deal with that.
What upset me is that Europcar has sent to me a so called Traffic Violation Invoice charging me an administrative fee of 27.00 pounds +VAT =32.40 just to send the letter saying that they were been contacted by the police and they were obliged to give them my details. Soon Europcar will attempt to take the Admin. fee via my credit card used for hiring the car. They are saying that the Admin fee chrges and obligations it is in their terms and conditions. I can't find that on their web side . However the contract with them with the terms and condition should be the one sent as PDF when I booked the car. I can't see anything about that on their paperwork (9 pages contract). Furthermore , honestly, even if something like that was on the contract I still find the Admin. charge of such an absurdity and a real robbery. Anyone who went through that or similar ? would be amazing any suggestion to deal with this...Ready to fight back!...cheers!

It all depends what the terms and conditions say, although it looks a lot of money it's below what a lot of these companies charge! If it just says an admin charge will be made it may be worth a courteous letter or phone call asking them to justify the amount!

Ask them for the exact part of the T&Cs they are relying on.
