hissing radiator stays on

when heating on the bedroom radiator has hissing noise any ideas please.
my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!

    I had this with a bedroom rad too, very annoying. Eventually the thermostatic head made no difference and the heat could not be turned down at all so when it came on with the downstairs room thermostat, it was on in the bedroom too whether I wanted it on or not.

    Had to get the valve replaced.

    could be an airlock in the rad, or air in the system.
    maybe a sticking valve. or a duff valve.
    Get some gorm.

    1. Replace (or remove in entirety) the snake that has coiled itself around the pipework for warmth.

    2. Replace the offending valve.

    Check lockshield valve and see if you can open it a couple of turns.

    This type o noise is often caused by them being shut too far and restricting the water flow too much.
