Hi I got a parking ticket and I think it's unfair. Do you think I should appeal/ the scenario is this:
1. Parked car in a parking bay next to a parking machine.
2. Machine was not working.
3. Could see no machine on same road but right opposite my pachine was a side road with a machine.
4. Bought ticket from side road machine
5. Got back to find parking ticket!!!
6. Collared traffic warden who said the ticket I had bought from the side road machine was not valid for my road.
7. I queried with Birmingham City Council
8. Council has come back today and said (a) no one reported my machine was faulty and (b) side road machine was a private machine and therefore fine payable.
9. Its ridiculous - the side road machine was EXACTLY the same as the main road machine and the printed ticket said Birmingham City Council at the top. I'm cross! Should I cough up the £25 or contest. Any advice welcome.
P.S. Should have gone on my bike

Read a few threads on that link to get the hang of the forum and also read the FAQs when you register, such as 'how to post pictures' as you will need to include in your first post, a picture of the front and back of the PCN and all pages of the rejection letter.
HTH, they are the experts and get almost everyone who posts off their Council PCNs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
