Egg PPI

Hi guys, looking for a little advice.
I sent off the first form to Egg and they responded soon after with their standard letter saying I'd hear from them within 8 weeks. This has now lapsed without a letter or a phone call so whats the next step I need to take?
Thanks
SJ

You can either ask for an update or go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.0

Thought I'd just give you an update. Had a letter from Egg today with a cheque for £32.61. I thought, what a poxy payout that won't pay off my balance, until I read the letter!!! I infactgot £2023.79, £1991.18 went to pay by blalnce leaving £32.61 for me!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooo. So I log into my Egg just tomake sure before I cancel my direct debit to them to find I had £639.32 IN CREDIT!!! I phoned them up and they are transferring the balance to me. One chuffed speechless chick in this house today!!!!
Pays to do it yourself, dread the think how much I'd have had to pay companies to do it for me!0 -
Well done Sian... How did you know you were paying PPI? Was it itemised separately on your bill.. below is what is on my agreement and I'm not sure whether to try and claim - we did call them and they straight out said NO you do not have PPi!!!!
KEY FINANCIAL INFORMATION
1. CREDIT LIMIT
We will set and tell you the Credit Limit from time to time.
2. REPAYMENTS
Each month you must pay by Direct Debit at least the minimum payment stated in your statement by the Payment Date. The minimum payment will be:
the full Revolving Balance if it is less than £5, but otherwise the greater of 2% of the Revolving Balance and £5, or (if it is more) the total of (i) interest and (ii) the Card Repayment Protection premium, both as shown in your statement

It was itemised on my credit card bills, which I never thought to look at before until one day I was looking to reduce all my bills and noticed it. Just have a go, got nothing to loose0
