Insurance on fridge/freezer

My mother aged 89 took out insurance when she bought her fridge/freezer in Iceland nearly 9 years ago - she paid the insurance for 5 year warranty but every year since then the company takes money out from her bank account which she has never noticed being very old and nearly blind and say that she signed the warranty contract with a roll-over which means they can take money out every year. Is this legal? Shouldnt old people be made aware of this when they are sold these warranties?

No doubt she agreed it at the time without realizing. What I don't understand is - are they claiming they are still providing a warranty on a 9 year old fridge - freezer? Ask to see T&C's, there is normally a maximum age of fridge freezer that they will insure, every year after that you should be able to claim back.
