Hi,
Urgent advice much appreciated. I am leaving the country tomorrow evening and am looking for a relatively lightweight laptop (so was thinking 13inches).
Because I am leaving tomorrow I will need to get it delivered tommorow (and Amazon Saturday cut of is in less than 2 hours time).
What do you think of the following options? My budget is £500.
1. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Notebook-2-1GHz-Windows-Premium/dp/B005BX4OAI/ref=sr_1_2?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1319193577&sr=1-2
2. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-S13L9E-notebook-2-4GHz-Professional/dp/B00452UCRA/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&m=A2OAJ7377F756P&s=merchant&qid=1319193668&sr=1-17
Thanks in advance,
K.

Since there is no Sony for sale....I vote for the Lenovo.

The sony is saying it is used and not new. So yeah the Lenovo.
Personally if it was me, I would look to see what was available locally, Argos, Pcworld, Staples, Asda, Tesco. Just for the fact you need it delivered by Tomorrow. Amazon are pretty good for delivery but there is always that chance it may not turn up on time.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Well the vaio is out of stock (new) so that's narrowed your amazon choice...
But the lenovo is a good price for the spec (as you'll already know, you pay a significant premium for a 13 or 14 inch screen)0 -
There is, it is an opened box one from the "Amazon Warehouse". Hence the price being lower than normal, although I'm not sure what the different processors mean.0

I wouldnt depend so much on amazon postage, try check one of the highstreet shops if its really urgent, as it would be better to recieve it today than risk it not turning up,
i have bought a few things on amazon in the past and got next day postage, but didnt arrive untill the day after but if you will be away and need the laptop with you, it really would be easier to just pick one up, yeah they are more expensive but you get it in your hands the same day0 -
Neil, good point, I will have a look at the bricks and mortar stores.
Seems the advice is not to go for the pre-opened box one then.0 -
Thanks Jayme, but trying to keep the size down so looking for a 13inch.0

Plan is that I will buy one of these two but my other half could always return it if it does not arrive tomorrow.
Does anybody know what the difference in the two processors is?0
