Freeview or Satellite for best picture?

I have used freeview for tv reception but occasionally suffer from break-up and popping of the sound as I am in a marginal area for freeview. So now have had a sky dish fitted but the picture is poorer, {a bit fuzzy}, than the freeview via the aerial.
Is it normal to get a better quality picture through the aerial or should I try a different sky box.....have considered the Pace HD DS810XE.

I have both because my brother started working for sky after i put up my digital freeview aerial. My picture was worse with satelite at 1st until i realised that not all my scarts were RGB. Once set up properly the picture was just as good.Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j

Sorry- i meant the scart sockets on the back of the TV. Some of mine are RGB and some are not. Even if they are RGB, they might not be switched on in the TV settings. Many sets that have multi scart inputs dont offer RGB on all inputs. I suggest you go into the TV settings on each scart and make sure you are comparing like for like scart settings. Failing that, why not swap your 2 scarts around in the back of your TV and see if the freesat improves and the freeview gets worse.!!!!!!_turpin wrote:Just used the scarts that came with the Panasonic box....How do I know if they are RGB?

Thanks for the replies.
The difference is maybe that the TV has the freeview built in whereas the sky is supplied by a scart???

i had SKY but switched to Freeview, i have to say that i prefer the Freeview picture as it is not so sharp on the eyes. Also Freeview does not go pixilated during thunderstorms as often as Sky does.0
