Megatrain - Any Rights?
Options
I was travelling on the London to Runcorn train last night, when there was a signal failure at Crewe. So, I should have been in to Runcorn at 23.05, and actually got in at 01.15.
I'm not particularly worried about the ticket - hey, these things happen. But my car parking at Runcorn station went up in cost from £3 to £10 because I got back after midnight. It's £7 I can little afford at the moment. I know Virgin customers can claim the cost back, but do I have any rights as a Megatrain customer?

Megatrain's T&C - which they state are a modification of the normal rules - say that no compensation is payable for a delay.
The only thing they do is refund your fare if you decide not to travel if there is a long delay0 -

mmm If the NR site is to be believed, your car park ticket was valid until 0259 so it's not clear why you were charged at all.0

That's what I thought! It's supposed to be £3 until 3am, but at 1.15 there wasn't anyone around to ask, and I just wanted to be home in my bed!
So perhaps my argument should be with the carpark staff instead?0 -
Thanks Dzug1 - I just phoned Virgin customer service, and they've said to send in the ticket and they'll refund the difference. Hurrah.0
