Tyre question!

Hi. My car has 195/60/R16 on it at the moment. Would a 195 65 R16 fit on them?
If anyone knows about these things i would be very greatful!

the 60 vs 65 bit means the side wall of the tyre would be higher on a 65

while it would fit on the wheel it may cause rubbing on the bodywork , handling issues and it will make the speedo read wrong

they would need fitting in pairs or pref the whole 4 , but i wouldnt suggest it

The tyres will fit on the rims OK, but using the Tyre calculator at rochfordtyres.co.uk, the 195/65/R16 tyres will have a diameter 19.5 mm greater than your existing tyres, and the circumference will be 3.05% greater. This is larger than the suggested 2.5% maximum difference.

One of the other calculators on the page works out alternative tyre sizes that are within 2.5% of the circumference of any given tyre size.

Suggest you talk to a tyre specialist before changing anything - fitting unsuitably sized tyres could at best cost you money, and at worst.............
