Neighbours fire alarm is going crazy - how to stop?
6am
Neighbours are on holiday. Their fire alarm went off in the middle of night. No signs of fire. It went off yesterday in the morning then after an hour it stopped. I cannot sleep. What should I do? I want it to STOP. Who should I call at 4am?

Strange one. Wonder could it be a carbon monoxide/gas alarm as smoke detectors dont tend to fail like that0

I called 101 (police, non emergency number I believe) to get some advice. They advised that they could not help, advised to call council in the morning. I believe another neighbour may have keys, but it seems she is asleep, do not want to wake her up.
Could it be a temperature related fault? The alarm went off yesterday in 8am, but then disappeared after a hour. The house is similar to ours. It has several smoke alarms in different rooms. I believe they all make a sound, not just a one of them. It is still going on.0 -
Finally peace and quiet.0

Ours did that (co-incidentally when we were on holiday!). Ours are wired into the mains - one upstairs and one downstairs. The one time we didn't leave a key with anyone. We didn't know what had caused it but they had been going off for a while before we got home. We got them replaced.Ditch 100 in January Challenge 100/100
