I was given notification by e-mail that my package cost would be rising. After 3 phone calls and 1 hour 30 mins later I had my package ended :j
Read on here that this can happen but must give BT notice of this within 10 days of such notification.
No cancellation fees.
Appears the call agents have no idea this can been done til you start telling them chapter and verse of the contract! Then they vanish for 10 mins to consult a line manager.
The first 2 agents were 100% adament I could not do this. Frustrating but gets me away from crazy BT prices!!

Don't believe them!! I terminated my contract with BT last year under the same argument (only had phone with BY) and like you I was told the would be no charge for leaving by a couple of agents...
Got my last bill & the was a early termination charge of £17 on it!0 -

Not sure how you would get rid of the £17 but there should be no charge. I shall watch out for this when we get our bill, I can see yet another hour or two on the phone. Hate phoning BT!!:mad:0
