Cat sleeping places

Seeing the heat thread got me thinking. Where do your furbabies sleep? Any weird and wonderful places?

mine goes through phases. My bed, my housemates bed, the wardrobe in the spare room. Most window ledges. She has a carpet lined box in the greenhouse outside. She has a cat bed in the dining room, but chooses more often than not to use one of the chairs

She used to like a pillow on the floor in my bedroom in front of the radiator

And really weirdly, right now she is sleeping on a wet towel

I came home from work one day, came upstairs to put something on my bed and she jumped out from under the duvet!!

  • [looks around as it's suspiciously quiet]

One on a cushion in front of a radiator.

One on the back of the sofa alongside the stairs.

And one under the dining table.

    Relatively normal tonight.

Earlier, one was asleep on top of my wardrobe, one in the bookcase by the other sofa and one was in a position like this photo taken a couple of weeks ago -Oggbot-1.jpg

  • Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyyy, where do I start!:D

Wee girl cat has 2 beds (which she does actually use unlike a lot of cats;)). One "house" style one in the lounge that she goes in during the day in the winter and a round one upstairs that she sleeps in at night. However, the dog's beds are also another favourite (one upstairs and one downstairs). If she's really lucky & boy cat is out, she even manages to sneak onto my bed.

Boy cat sleeps in the wardrobe most of the time (backs onto the airing cupboard where the hot water tank is;)) but usually comes onto my bed when I go for a cuddle & then reappears in the morning to nab the warm spot when I get up!:D He's also partial to the shower tray as the hw pipes run underneat it ....

    They're not silly are they!:D

Dorothy sleeps on top of the fridge, or in a little wheelie truck that is full of books that I need to take to work but can't, now that she's commandeered it.

James sleeps on a chair in DS's room all day and all night, only bothering to come down for a cuddle and a feed in the morning and supper in the evening.

When it's sunny, they will both stretch out on window sills to soak up the rays.

My Ginger sleeps on the shed all day, come rain or shine, in the evening he sleeps across an entire stair, at night he comes into my bed for a cuddle then sleeps on the floor next to me.

My Tortie hardly ever comes in during the day and sleeps on the wheelie bin, or very occasionally in the porch, at night she sleeps on the landing where they pipes run

My black girl sleeps on DD's bed all day and on the clothes I've taken off at night.

My black boy sleeps on the sofa in OH's bum dip during the day, on the back of the sofa in the evening and OH's bum dip at bedtime

My black and white boy can usually be found in the dogs bed, either with or without the dog or on the stool under the breakfast bar

My black and white girl spends all day on my bed and all night on my chest of drawers where she has her own blankie.

None of them sleep in the cat bed or on the cat hammock on the huge scratch post contraption.

Jimmy sleeps on the neighbour's shed roof or on our bed, or the chair in the bedroom.

Geri sleeps on the arm of the sofa sometimes, but more often prefers to sleep on a rug by the patio door, so she can see if anyone goes near the fridge. :D

2 cat beds on the bedroom wall.... both ignored..
    1 kitten bed..... ignored

gizmo likes the top of chest of drawers, or sofa (sofa is a new bed to him) on top of wardrobe in son's room, inside son's bed divan type with slidy drawer he sleeps on all the clean bedding. or the newly created dog safe corner

georgie sleeps on the radiator bed next to me at the pc, in the dog basket, in the dog safe corner (all ready for fireworks nite), on sons pc chair, ignores the kitten bed bought for her, so that is now filled with cat and dog toys.

mostly at night the dog is always on the bed or under the duvet, gizmo at some point may wander over to the bed for a scratch, georgie like to tease the dog by jumping on him on the bed.
