Additional charge for paying by credit card - are they assuming the full whack will be on the card?

can they charge 10% for paying by credit card? and i only paid £750 deposit, the rest will be paid for by debit card

i just checked their terms and conditions and they charge 3% for credit cards which wont add up to a whopping £200

You could ask them to pull the call and check (if it was a call centre, if you booked via a shop they probably dont record calls).

    Are they registered with ABTA?

They should have a record of it then. I know Thomas Cook used to record ALL calls as they had to be pulled a few times for example when a customer claimed they hadnt been told it was no change/no refund.

Best to speak to them first and see what they say. If they're not willing to help or budge, come back and tell us what they said. Makes it a lot easier to answer if we know what the situation is :D

Also, sometimes you expect them to say no and they'll go above and beyond what they need to do! I've experienced this myself several times. Of course, no harm in asking what your rights are prior to contracting them either :D First we need to establish what proof there is of the price you agreed to and if they informed you that there was going to be any additional charges.

You didnt book any special meals or extra leg room or anything like that did you?

Until the OP actually talks to the company it really is fairly pointless speculating.

don't travel agents always have a clause that the price may change?
