Potential US buyer wants US conversion is on my shipping cost

I sell worldwide but have never had this issue. A potential buyer is wanting US conversion on my shipping cost. What do I tell them? I thought when they log in, in their country, they automatically see their conversion on the auction page. So then when it comes to invoicing, paypal automatically works it all out on the day (depending on the xchange rate). I didn't think it was my issue?

Does anyone know?

It isn't your issue, US buyers think the world trades in dollars and revolves around the Whitehouse.

Tell them you are legally bound by the currency of your country and PayPal will convert at the rate set, which you are not party to.

I would reply that you have no idea what Paypal US charge for currency conversion and they should ask them.

Just bought an item from china, UK auctions in £ £5.00 + £2.50 postage. But the same seller lists items in $ also
for $7.69 with free postage and ships internationally for free.

Came out as £5.05. I didnt know the exact price until it had gone through to the paypal confirm payment screen.
