battery issues

I have got a lenovo ideapad u550 laptop
3 months ago the batery ikon started flashing , and was telling me that the battery will need replacing soon ... eventually, it didnt hold any more charge .
I bought another one from a uk website , same model number l09s6d21, with the same power output , and from a company claiming to sell original ones, 46 quid...chinese websites selling for half that

left it to charge 24 hours, when i came back today, the light s flashing and the battery indicator is telling me ''no battery detected''
have tried removing and putting it back but no luck

old battery, can be still recognised by the laptop ..
Any ideas?
