helllllllllllllllllllllllllllp !!!!!!!

Can someone please explain to me about voicecheap.com it says that calls made via your pc to a landline are free to certain countries including the uk.
what I do not understand is that do you have to pay £10 every 120 days. or is it totally

So does this mean I can make unlimited number of calls to any free destination for £10 for 120 days (£30 a year) or as it says in small print only 300 miuets per week, if so will you know when you have used these minuets

Will calls to certain countries all ways be free or will they change

Also am I correct in saying that if I buy a Linksys PAP2T Phone Adapter
and connect this to my router, I can the connect this to a detec phone and not have pc swiched on. Do I have to download software to this adaptor?

Finally how do you then make regular calls say to mobiles if you are always connected to router

Thanks Buttons

With Voipcheap.com, you pay in £10 of credit every 90/120 days and then you get 300 minutes of free calls per week to many listed destinations, which includes the UK. The £10 credit can be used to spend of calls to the other (not free) destinations, or to UK mobiles at about 5.5p/min - which is cheaper than pretty much anywhere else. I do this, with a pair of DECT phones, connected to a PAP2. No software is required and the PC does not need to be on. Just use the SIP settings from Voipcheap.com programmed into the PAP2.

But voipcheap now charge 1p/minute to UK destinations at all times! Use www.internetcalls.com (also a Finarea VOIP company) if you want to call UK landlines for free! Or, if you don't want to pay £10 credit every 120 days you can use the www.internetcalls.com 'loophole' to make free calls: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=4086580#post4086580

The .co.uk VoIPCheap charge 1p/min to the UK, the .com VoIPCheap do not charge to the UK. The .com version has good rates to UK mobiles.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

If i connect a phone to a pap2 will I still be able to receive incomming calls
  • You'll need an incoming number (DID).

Sipgate give out free geographical numbers.

Voipcheap.com will allow you to set up an credit card to automatically re-credit the account when it falls below a set limit (as do some other companies).

In reference to some of the other questions, you can get a free incomming number in pretty much any geographic area 01/02 for free from Sipgate, VoipTalk or Orbtalk and perhaps others.

You can't (easily) set up an incoming and outgoing service (ie. Sipgate in and VoipCheap out) on the same PAP2 line - unless you use Voxalot (which is free), but you can have one line set up for in and one for out. Personally I have 2 lines for in and out via Voxalot - which is complicated to set up, but excellent.

I'm sorry but I don't have time to elaborate on the specifics now, but search this site or Google the various services and you will find everything that you need.

    Good luck.
