It sounds like you have been naive here, rather than deliberately fraudulent, I think you need to persue Abbey if that is where you applied, it sounds like their employee was complicit in a fraud which they need to investigate to move the "blame" to their employer and the introducer, I think once they get to the bottom of this, they may be able to clear you.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Why did you not address the matter when you were suspended by your employer. Suspension is a serious matter and is a decision not taken lightly.0

I was not sure what to do about carrying on my job when my employer suspended me on full pay .I wrote to Santander and called them ,nothing happened .After two weeks , I got new and better paid job .I simply resigned before decision being made by my employer. So I did not bother to carry on with that case .Now I realised I made a mistake not following correct procedures .Can I reopen the case and carry on or it's too late now?
Thank You for your advice.0 -

Very difficult to comment on the basis of limited information. You had the opportunity to defend yourself and failed to take it at the time. That was your decision.
Lenders do not have to give any reason for declining a mortgage application. So perhaps even the events of the past bear no relevance to more recent issues.0 -
