Under 25 Working Tax Credits

Hello all!
I’ve been toying with the idea of going self employed for a while and it seems this might be a good time, especially with the chance of working tax credits to help me out while I’m setting myself up…or so I thought! WTCs are only available to those over 25. Is there any help or alternatives to WTC for people under 25 (23 to be precise) wanting to make their way in this country!?
Any help, advice or words of wisdom (or comfort) greatfully received! Thank you

You could put a business plan together and maybe look for business startup grants. You won't qualify for working tax credits before you are 250

I've got a feeling that Prince's Trust have grants for under 30s to start up businesses.
You could also possibly speak to Connexions (I'm not sure of their age range).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Princes Trust.
Part time employment with part-time self employment.0 -
Many people start their self employment in their free time whilst carrying on with their normal job. If the business works out, you can then cut your hours or even give up your day job. If it doesn't, you still have a job.0
