Favorite bagged cylinder vacuum cleaner?

Anyone got any recommendations?

As the title says it needs to be bagged and cylinder.

Must have a) excellent suction b) be able to reach under beds.

Thanks

Anything Miele. Miles better than the competition.

    Why bagged?

I have always found them less efficient.

You'll struggle to beat a Henry. Can be used with or without a bag.

I have to disagree about the Henry. As it happens I have a Miele, Henry and Dyson.

Henry is robust but doesn't have the suction that the other two have. Useless with carpets. Alright for tiles and wood floors.

Miele is superbly built and very effective cleaning head but needs bags and
loses suction as the bags fill up. Had it 10 years now.

Dyson - Good suction and no loss of effectiveness but the built quality is poor. Had it 2 years and its already had a replacement cyclone body and brush head. The bits simply disintegrated.

In the future it will always be Miele for me.

    .

Never tried Miele so can't comment. Certainly look good.

Am on third Dyson, first two were my fault:o, drove over one and tried to use the second on renovation debris and motor gave up. I have a replacement and will resurrect it.

Tried other bagged/non bagged including Henryand then came to another Dyson which is just coming up to 2 years old.

Certainly go with your comments on the Henry and the poorer build quality of later Dysons, wonder if this had anything to do with move to the East?

Out of interest have Dyson honoured their 5 year warranty?

Yes they have honoured their warranty on both occassions but what happens after year 5?

I paid £100 for the Miele 10 years back and it still works as well as the day it was bought.

The Dyson was more than twice that and I dont think its going to last out 5 years. Savings on dust bags? I think not.

Its a shame but the Germans once again have demonstrated their superior engineering.
