In the storms on Thursday we lost 2 roof tiles (redman 90). Does anyone have a rough idea of the cost to replace them? We live in a 3 storey home- will it be very expensive?
Many thanks!

I paid £50 to replace two yesterday...The roofer re used the tiles , they had come off but not broken. Charge was for labour and mortar. I am in the West Mids in a normal two storey semi ( no access problems ) HTH0

I was going to say £50 too!0

Thanks for that, sadly our tiles smashed so I'll budget an extra £20 odd for the tiles. Atleast I'll know if I'm getting ripped off now.

Eh £10 each!!! - are they stonesfield slate or straight gold - Our tiles cost about 35p each I think and that's reclaimed - definitely my £50 included the cost of new tiles0

My husband is a builder and said the same too. One thing to remember here though is that Carly's tiles were not broken and whoever does come to your house will have to check the exact colour and make of tile and then travel to the nearest supplier to buy two replacement tiles. Costs of different tiles or slates vary quite a bit too.
I'm an avid money saver and I'm married to the softest builder and that's why we manage and are not rolling in it but it I hate my husband going up on a roof. I'd rather he didn't do any roof work, he doesn't need it and especially when people are so wary of being ripped off they don't want to pay a reasonable rate (builders wife perspective!):j Addicted to money saving0
